Small Bio

I first started making a website when I was 18, but I abandoned it because I had no books to showcase (how sad), but now I’m 22 (Born on February 2002) and little did I know that when I was 19, I would get accepted so quickly to publish my first book.

This is me holding a book, MY Book ... I will neither confirm nor deny if that smile is joy or pain.

Look, there's not much you need to know about me except that I love to write. I love art, I love editing, I love to create my mad little worlds into stories that I hope will make people laugh ... maybe cry ... and to help anyone I can through the characters I create.

Stories For You

Luckily for me, I am not limited to one genre. In fact, I am determined to try as many styles as possible.

If you are a fantasy fan, then you have definitely come to the right place! Dragons, monsters, you name it! I love it all.

But that isn't all I can do. I have been experimenting with Romance (whether it be hetero or homosexual plot lines, it doesn't matter), which is an apparent theme in my first novel 'Hidden Words'.

Now, I am a fan of many genres. I already have ideas and have completed many books already, I'm just finding the right time (*cough* and money) to publish them. But some work that I have dabbled in so far would be: Fantasy Murder Mystery, Fantasy Adventure, Romance/Mental Health, Dystopian, LGBTQIA+ Romance/Finding Yourself, Comedic Disaster series? I dunno what to call that one yet but basically there’s a lot ...

I think it's safe to say, my genres will not be stuck in the same patch of grass - I will grow as best as I can, I'm not afraid to fail.

My Purpose

Writing to me is more than just words on a sheet of paper. They create a space in your mind to invent. It can help people understand themselves, it can even help you through life - whether that be for anxiety purposes or guidance through inner turmoil - I want to help.

Over the years of writing, I realised that writing words down seriously helped me in my own life. If I could create this world to escape to, everything would be easy for a moment. Finding a character struggling with my problems helped when they found their way out. I want to help someone find their way out, too!

I am by no means professionally qualified, but I write from experience or what I know can help. I would never write something without the knowledge of understanding how someone acts or feels.

My stories are a platform, I hope to teach and help people through with an easy, light-hearted story which contains a deep meaning within the plot in hope that it will help you in the end. And for those who do not need this help, then it is a fun world to dive into anyways.

My Designs.

I do my own artwork for the stories I write. I try to create outfits and scenes with the best image I can from what I see in my own head. I also do symbolic art pieces and creatures - I definitely love creating the mythical creatures.

Learning digital art was a wild ride for me. It is basically like re-learning how to draw again, but I decided to take it on when I was doing front cover designs. I have a few for several books but I cannot show them unless I know they’re being published. I will definitely share in the future to compare. One of my proudest moments would be designing ‘Hidden Words’. My publishers asked for my front cover design idea and I sent it in, expecting them to get a professional to take over, but they ended up using mine. Whether it be a mistake or an executive decision, I don’t know and I don’t care. I am proud to say that the artwork is all mine and I hope to keep this up for future novels.

I have an Instagram (d.t.books) where I post about drawings, promo pieces, book teasers etc - but I have so many art pieces I cannot use right now because I have not aimed to publish any of the other stories yet. So patience, cooler things will come!

I’ve made a section dedicated to the progress of projects. From where I started - the silly terrible sketches I did when I first had my ideas for stories - to the changes it goes through to become the final result.
